Terms & Conditions

• Drivers must hold a Full Driver’s Licence valid for the entire rental period.

• Restricted or Learner licences are not accepted.

• Non-English licences must be accompanied by an International Driver’s Permit or certified translation.

• Minimum driver age is 21 years. No maximum age limit.

• A young driver fee of NZ$5/day applies to drivers aged 21–25.

• Quick Rentals may request two recent (within 3 months) proof of address documents prior to vehicle handover.

Rental charges are calculated per 24-hour day.

• A 10% deposit is required to secure your booking.

• The remaining 90% balance is due on the rental start date.

• For after-hours pickups, full payment is processed the previous working day.

• Cancellation policy applies to all bookings (see below).

• We accept Visa and MasterCard. A 2.5% card surcharge applies.
• A valid credit card in the main driver’s name is required for all rentals.
• No credit card? A NZ$500 cash bond is required.
• Credit card or cash bond may be held for up to 90 days after the rental ends.

• Cancel before the pickup day: No fee, full deposit refunded within 3 business days.

• Cancel on the day or no-show: A fee of 10% of the full rental applies (including any accessories and insurance).

• Shortening a rental? Refunds (if applicable) processed within 3 business days.
• Need to extend your rental? Contact us in advance—subject to vehicle availability and additional charges.
• Unauthorized extensions will incur daily rental rate + NZ$200/day late return fee.
• Changing pickup/drop-off location? Subject to approval and a NZ$800 relocation fee.
• Early returns are non-refundable.

• Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full.

• If not refueled, fuel cost plus a NZ$25 refueling fee will be charged.

• Untidy vehicle return: NZ$200 cleaning fee.

• Smoking in vehicle: NZ$200 cleaning fee.

• Pets not allowed: NZ$200 cleaning fee applies.

• The hirer is responsible for all fines and infringements.

• A NZ$50 processing fee applies per infringement.

• We reserve the right to pass details to authorities if payment fails or no credit card is provided.

• Overdue fines may result in legal and collection costs, payable by the hirer.

Quick Rentals may refuse or cancel a rental without notice if:

• Terms and conditions are violated

• The rental was obtained through false information

• The vehicle is damaged or being misused

• The driver is deemed unfit or unsafe
  If terminated, the hirer must cover all return and towing costs and is not eligible for a refund.

We offer four levels of insurance:

1. Basic Insurance (included):

   • Standard excess of NZ$4,900

   • Discounted excess of NZ$2,900 for online bookings

2. Reduced Risk Insurance – NZ$18/day:

   • Reduces excess/bond to NZ$500

3. Zero Risk Insurance – NZ$22/day:

   • Reduces excess/bond to $0

   • Includes windscreen, tyre cover & premium 24/7 roadside assistance

   • Note: Insurance is void after a claim unless renewed by Quick Rentals

4. P Plate Insurance – NZ$29/day:

   • Required for Provisional License holders

Insurance Exclusions:
Insurance does not cover:

• Reckless, negligent or unlawful driving

• Off-road or beach use

• Underbody/overbody damage

• Vehicle rollovers

• Loss of keys or remotes

• Use of incorrect fuel

• Driving under the influence

All damage must be reported within 24 hours.

• All vehicles include 24/7 roadside assistance.

• Mechanical issues must be reported immediately to be eligible for compensation.

• Refunds will not be provided unless Quick Rentals is given the opportunity to fix the issue.

• Costs related to breakdowns (accommodation, meals, transport) are not reimbursed.

If your booked vehicle is unavailable, Quick Rentals may:

• Provide a similar alternative vehicle, or

• Cancel your booking and provide a full refund.
  Replacement vehicles are not guaranteed after accidents.

Certain vehicles may record data during the rental period. Quick Rentals reserves the right to collect and use this data as needed.

Quick Rentals may update these terms, rates, or vehicle specifications at any time without prior notice.
We also reserve the right to decline any rental at our discretion.
